Wood Alpina 4 Spoke Steering Wheel

    Please read everything
Lets start with price: $300 plus shipping
    - Why does it cost so much? Because it is very rare and when they do show up for sale they can fetch over $1,000. I spend a lot of time researching these wheels and feel that my price is about 25% below market value for the given condition and for what is, or in this case is not, included.
    - Why am I trying to sell it this cheap? I am trying to sell this in a timely manner and give someone a good deal on a nice wheel.
    - Why are you selling it at all? Because I need to raise money for other projects I'm and working on with my e30 and this wheel is just sitting around in a box.

If you have any complaints or feel the price is unfair please send me a PM detailing the matter and providing evidence to prove your point.

    - What do you get for you money? This wood Alpina steering wheel made by Momo. Unfortunately I do not have the Alpina horn button or the wooden block that surrounds the horn button. The horn button can be purchased and the wood block can be made or you can purchase the leather pad that comes on the leather version of this wheel. This wheel will fit any Momo hub and since you can get a Momo hub for nearly any car this wheel is not vehicle specific.

The condition of the wheel. I would say the wood is in fair condition as there are a few cracks that have been filled but the rest is in good shape. The metal is in good condition with a new small nicks on the front and there is a single >1in scratch by one of the bolt holes on the back.

    In car:

Please excuse how dirty my interior was when I took this photo. Also note: the horn button and hub are not included with the wheel.

If you have any questions just ask. I can take any additional photos but it might take a day or so to get them up.

This is an example of one for sale with the two parts that are missing from mine: eBay
IMHO the price he is asking ($1,500) is too high considering the condition of that wheel.

Here are a few examples of how great these can look when cleaned up:

Finally if you are interested in this wheel but concerned that it is not "complete" here is a source for new Alpina Horn buttons for 30 euro. This source also has the leather padded horn surround available for 50 euro.

Here is what one looks like with the leather pad:

As many of you may have seen there was a insanely good deal on one of these posted and sold recently. One low price does not change the value of an item with an extremely limited supply. It can however change the local markets perception in the short term.

For this reason I am open to taking offers by pm. I'll consider reasonable offers and I will respond to the highest offers.

                    Bump for 6cyl.

I have seen this wheel installed in his car, I can vouch for how nice it looks in person.

Maybe a worthy cause will help sell this. If you were wondering what project I am working on here is the first write up.

I have just run into a few road blocks where some of the components I was going to use wont work together properly so I need to revise my plans and buy new parts.
