    Custom BBK - Futura Design

I had these custom designed but have decided to go with a larger setup, they are brand new and have never been used. They are a front 4-piston with 304mm rotors in powdercoat white with blue logo and matching blue anodized 5x120 rotor hats. They are made to fit the e28 & e30 M3. Comes with all mounting hardware and stainless lines. Thanks.

Futura Design LLC warrants to the original user that this product complies with Futura Design specifications and is free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty is limited in duration to one year from the date of purchase. In the event that a defect is claimed, a claim must be made within thirty (30) days from its discovery and within one (1) year from the date of purchase. If a covered defect is found, the product will be, in the sole judgment of Futura Design LLC, either repaired or replaced by a new or rebuilt product.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE SOLE EXPRESS WARRANTY MADE WITH REGARD TO THIS PRODUCT AND IS MADE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES, OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL BE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY. MANUFACTURER SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER AND IN NO EVENT SHALL MANUFACTURER BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES IN EXCESS OF CLAIMANT’S PURCHASE PRICE FOR THE PRODUCT.

For products sold in the U.S., some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so one or more of the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other legal rights which vary from state to state

Warranty claims must be submitted with a written explanation on the conditions of installation and as much detail as possible surrounding the product issue including photographs if available. Final determination for warranty claims are up to the sole discretion of Futura Design LLC.

This Limited Warranty does not apply to:

    - any damage to the Product caused in whole or in part by abuse, accident, fire, chemical corrosion, use for other than its intended purposes, unlawful use, use in a model for which it was not designed, faulty installation, installation contrary to the Manufacturer’s published instructions, or failure to maintain the Product in accordance with the Manufacturer’s published instructions;

    - claims of comfort, noise, vibration or harsh riding characteristics.

    Brake pad bed in procedure

All brake pads must be bedded-in with the rotor they will be used against to maximize brake performance. The bedding-in process involves a gradual buildup of heat in the rotors and pad compound. This process will lay down a thin layer of transfer film on to the rotor surface. Following the bed-in procedures provided by the manufacturer will assure a smooth, even layer of transfer film on the rotor and will minimize brake judder. Here are a few things to keep in mind when installing new rotors and pads:

When installing new pads, the rotors should be new or at least resurfaced to remove any transfer film from the previous set of brake pads.

It is critical that the installer clean any rust, scale, or debris from the hub mounting surface thoroughly and check it for excessive run-out with a dial indicator gauge before installing the rotor.

The new rotor should also be checked for excessive run-out using a dial indicator gauge before the caliper and pads are installed. If a rotor has excessive run-out of over .004″ (.10mm) it should be replaced.

If your new rotor has excessive run-out, please contact Futura Design or your authorized dealer for a replacement rotor. Do not install and drive using the rotor! Futura Design will not warranty a used rotor for excessive run-out. Running with excessive run-out on the hub or rotor will cause vibration issues.

Failure to follow these procedures may result in brake judder, excessive noise, or other difficulties in bedding-in the new brake pads. The pads need a fresh surface to lay down an even transfer film. Residue from the previous pad compound on the surface or an irregular surface on a used rotor will cause the pads to grip-slip-grip-slip as they pass over the rotor surface under pressure. The resulting vibration will cause noise and telegraph vibrations through the suspension and steering wheel. This vibration is known as brake judder or brake shimmy. This is typically caused by an uneven transfer film on the rotor surface or an uneven surface on the rotor not allowing that transfer film to develop evenly. This is often misdiagnosed as a warped rotor.

Bedding-in new pads and rotors should be done carefully and slowly. Rapid heat buildup in the brake system can lead to warped rotors and or glazed brake pads. Most brake pad compounds will take up to 300-400 miles to fully develop an even transfer film on the rotors.

Failure to bed the brakes properly may lead to damage of the brake components, so it is imperative to perform the procedure immediately upon installation. Futura Design LLC is not liable for improper bed In of the brakes or any damage caused thereafter.

Maybe I'm stupid, but why isn't there a clear statement on what this goes on?

Is this for e30m3, or is it for e36, or e36m3, or could it even be for an e39?

You say it comes with hardware and stainless lines, but you say nothing of caliper mounting brackets. Does this use OE caliper carriers? Lastly, I still don't see you sharing what style of pad backing plate these use so people can determine consumables.

                    GLWS!

I apologize, I thought I had previously stated that they will fit the e28 & e30 M3. Also, yes the kit does come with the caliper mounting brackets. I will post pics later of the back ad plate so everyone can see. Please let me know if you fell any additional pertinent information was left out. Thanks.
