Gauging interest, wanting to trade, my m60b40 motor. I bought this motor thinking about putting it into a recently bought e30 and turns out the car is set up perfectly and I dont want to change anything about. However the current M20 has entirely too many miles on it and wants to die. At least the cylinder head does
Its from a 1995 540.
ZF 5 speed trans
Comes with the full harness
404 DME
PS pump
air cooled alternator
A/C unit.
Top end gasket set
This is the dual row timing chain unlike the 4.4l single row. Everyone gets nervous wanting to know if its Nikasil or Alusil and contacted BMW since it was nikasil. They ran the number and i was told that it was replaced by BMW. Since than 64000 miles were put on the car. This has the intake manifold that everyone wants because of the trumpets. Its midnight and I dont have pictures right now but I will try to get some tomorrow. Was going into an e30 but plans have changed. If anyone is interested in putting it into an e30 I have the Wilwood pedals needed I can add for an extra charge. I bought this motor from another member here so he may chime in and give some more information but I think I am including everything.
As far as pricing goes im looking for 1500.00 to start, because I would rather trade for a decent running M20B25 or rebuilt componenets such as a nicely done cylinder head. Shipping would be a PITA but it would be possible if you paid for it and arranged shipping. I can have it on a pallet and ready to go for a delivery driver
