              What was the purpose of cutting the "dead coil"? To get lower ride height?

                  I have these on my new (to me) e30 and love them. The car stays flat!

                  Btw what front splitter is that on your car? I want to add one to my IS lip.

                      Yup, if he cut it with a cutting disk it is completely fine to run. Cutting coils is not bad if you do it right.
