I love the way the 700s react, you will notice the difference. I have 500s in the front.

If you have GC springs already, look at the numbering on the spring.

First 3 numbers is the height 500=5" spring the second set of 3 is the spring rates.

You are correct, they are 2.25(2-1/4"ID). Sorry for the incorrect info. Picture posted below.
