Man this guy is hilarious. I almost wish he wasn't banned so he could tell me why exactly I'm supposed to be jealous of his beater ass e30.

sounds like a flowmaster on a straight six, they always have that sound when you come off the gas like that. does same on a v8. and that thing sounds nothing like a v8. if you want that sound, then go for it.

and if you wanted a low-price exhaust that works i think you did a semi-decent job with it, although that tip looks like total ass. nothing fancy, but flowmasters are very thick and arent going to rust through.

ha, i dont care about posting this now that this thread is pretty much over.

I think its just our truck. Everything on this truck has rusted out in one way or another. 3rd or 4th set of brake lines, 3rd dipstick tube, 2nd oil pan, 2nd diff cover. Transfer case lever pulled out of the floor, frame looks like it will split in half. Brand new heads, headers, and arp bolts after 4 years look like they've been under the ocean floor for a century.

And its only an 88. I'm waiting for the day it falls apart.

i had a flowmaster on a jeep for 4 years and no rust problems...but i live in california away from the coast, and not near snow...sooo its pretty ideal conditions for no rust.

the biggest prob i've had with muffler shops is them not using good welding core and i end up with a nice aluminized muffler (not flowmaster) only to have all the welds rust and look like ASS.
