Podi e30 "Alpina Tribute" vent gauge
I will check with my engineer at VEI to get an update to the blank icons.
The icons with orange displays are as bright as that LED used by VEI can be. This brightness issue is specific to the orange LED and not the red and blue ones.
VEI is searching to find a new orange LED that can be brighter and when one is found I will work with them to upgrade existing vent gauge LEDs.
I want to buy the podi gauge for my E30, then red ones will not have illumination problems at the day like the orange ones? I wish red because the Alpina gauge has a red digits....
Finally, Paypal accepted? I want to use funds of my Paypal accountLast edited by fdovargas; 10-25-2014, 03:33 AM.Comment

The V1 display will look and work the same as shown on the regular 52mm gauge in this video. The button referenced in the video would correspond to the capacitive touch switch that is included with the e30 vent gauge.

The vent gauge is a modular setup. Gauge 1 is the left hand module and Gauge 2 is the right hand module as shown in the picture.
This design allows you to swap out a module for a different one and then just connect to the required sensor.
For example if you had a voltmeter and a year later you boost your car, you can remove the voltmeter module and install a boost or boost & AFR module, connect it to their respective sensors and you have an upgraded gauge setup.

I don't resell used product so I am waiting to hear back from VEI as to what options and the cost may be.
And what do you mean by "are the readings adjustable"? The displayed bargraph range for boost can be adjusted, and the sampling range for the AFR gauge can be adjusted.
Boost gauge manual is here: http://www.veisystems.com/old/docs/I...ions-BOM-M.pdf
AFR gauge manual is here: http://www.veisystems.com/old/docs/I...ions-WBA-M.pdf
When the manual refers to the 'button' that would correspond to using your touch switch.

Aloha and thanks for quick reply and links.
I'll adjust MAP readings to compensate as shown in your links, current readings are -1psi at sea level and -2psi at 728ft (home),
yet ms2 boost/vac gauge always show's 0 at beach or up the hill.
Thanks again for great product, am very happy with purchase.

What you need to do is the atmospheric correction to 'zero' the boost gauge. To enter these modes is different than for the standard gauge since the touch switch does not activate fast enough.
For boost calibration, there is a mode "CAL.". Set it to On, then power
off and power on, and it will go to that calibration mode.
For AFR configuration, there is a mode "CFg.". Set it to On, then power
off and power on, and it will go to that configuration mode.
