SOLD to RondoAcapriccio for full price. Thanks
When I get another set put together I will repost.
Here they are:

I had accumulated 10-12 pair of these over the years. A while ago I decided to take them all apart, clean everything and re-assemble them using the best parts to make the best pairs first. I sold the first pair locally. Then last year, when I was selling the euro bumpers, I got to talking with a member here who told me that you guys like using these in your cars. I put another set together for him. Here are a few pictures of the process:

You'll notice that the hinge covers and knobs are sitting uninstalled. That's because I'm lazy. Didn't want to assemble them and then need to take them back apart if I ship them. If they're picked up they will be assembled.
I've had a few questions from people who don't understand how Recaros mount. This is my reply to one PM:
"They have the same 6 bolt pattern as any after market Recaro which mounts to the bottom. Don't know how familiar you are with Recaros but they don't make unique seats for each vehicle. You need a mounting adapter or console for your application. Recaro makes these as does a company in LA called Wedge Engineering(theirs are cheaper). Adapter fits your car. Recaro sliders fit adapter to allow back and forth adjustment. Seat bolts to slider. Pattern is the same on these seats as on any after market Recaro. For some reason Recaro uses 6mm bolts to attach after market seats but the VW ones use 8mm. So you need to drill out the holes in the sliders."
I want $275 for them if picked up. I want $300 plus shipping cost if I ship them. Part of shipping cost is $8.00 for a box from U-haul. You can get a close estimate of the shipping cost by going to the FedEx website. It will ship from 94525. The box will be 24" x 20" x 34" and weigh about 61 pounds.
For those of you who may have seen this thread in an incomplete form, I'm sorry. Somehow right after adding the first picture the thread published. Then while I was editing it for more info, my son returned my earlier call from Texas(it's his birthday). We talked for quite a while and then dinner was ready. Anyway for contact you can PM, mail gctphamilton@sbcglobal.net or call 510 375 2071(I don't text). Thanks, george
