I bought this Timesert kit NEW through the Thread Doctor on ebay 1 year ago, and used it 1 time, to fix my 528i which has stripped out threads in the block. This is a common failure in m52tu and m54 engines, which results in head gasket failure since the head bolts can not be fastened/torqued.
The engine in the car repaired is M52tub28, but this kit will work for other engines, including the M54.
All parts are as-new, and even after using once there is no visible wear. Everything was repackaged in the original protective packaging, as shown in the pictures.
You will need to buy the inserts separately. The inserts cost $27.75 shipped at eBay... search for 10155 inserts (you need the 15-pack)
