    TRADED/SOLD: YellowSpeed Coilover setup

    TRADED- NO LONGER AVAILABLE

I bought my 1989 with these installed and now I think I want to revert back to a conventional spring and strut setup. I have driven them 6 miles and they were driven under 100 miles when the car was delivered to me. Add in a few other miles after the initial install and they are still under 200 miles.

Link to the coilovers: http://www.yellow-speed.com/dynamic-pro-sport.php and http://www.amazon.com/1982-92-3-SERI.../dp/B005CZL9LC

These are complete with camber/caster plates and have all of the needed adjustment tools.

The front sleeve/perch is welded to the front housings (normally best to have done by an experienced welder, preferably in a shop) but that is already done for you.

Asking $800. Less if you can send me some 51mm front strut housings with smooth bearings.

You get my complete assembly- bottom bolts up through and including top hats, upper mounts, camber/caster plates, springs, adjustors, etc.

    Pictures:

The pictures below are with the setup ALL THE WAY DOWN. The wheels are 17x7.5" with 215/45/17 tires, so keep that in mind when viewing the pictures.

These pictures are with stock bottlecaps:

Some pics with 15x7 ET25 TRM C1s. Tires are Dunlop Direzza ZII (Star Spec II) in 205/50/R15.

Ride was VERY good. i was convinced that I would hate it but it was very comfortable on the 14s and 15s (I never drove it on the 17s- I just installed them this weekend). I have driven on H&R Sport and H&R OE Sport and I can't say that this ride was anoy more harsh or stiff. Body roll was much tighter in a few faux-slalom moves (versus the OE Sports or Sports) but over bumps and pavement cracks it was very good.

I just prefer conventional springs and struts over coilovers because I am too simple-minded to properly tune coilovers. I am so lazy (I prefer to call it efficient) that I am either buying the convertible-specific H&R Cup Kit or convertible-specific H&R Sport Springs and Konis. If I am getting Konis I need to act fast before the spring sale ends.

im in the same boat right now. i want Konis or bilstein sports with the IE3 or HR race springs, but finding these in my budget is proving most difficult. thought i had a local setup but they got sold under me for $30 more than my offer...:hitler: coilovers are just more work than i'd like or need... i want a "one and done" or as you put it "more efficient" setup lol. i'll keep an eye on these though.

Throw me an offer, if you are interested. It isn't that I want to sound snobbish about it but I'd rather buy exactly what I want than to have something else. I'll lose money selling these based on what I have invested in the acquisition of the car (that is a given) but I just don't have the patience to sit on this suspension setup forever and with the price of a Koni/H&R setup or an H&R Cup Kit I don't mind taking the hit on selling these.

I don't know much about these, but I am relatively interested. Do you know the spring rates and the shocks that would be compatible?
