Just to help clarify the shifter carrier that DOES use the bitch clip is aluminum. The early shifter carrier that doesn't use it is stamped steel.

Really? Didn't know that. I will edit it accordingly.

      Thanks!

Does this have the updated selector rod ? so it can be used on pre 89 cars ?

What car did you have this on, 325, 318, etc.... Also is there anyway you could measure from pin to pin for me?

Thanks in advanced, also very interested.

It was used in an 8/86 with the sheet metal shifter console, without the bitch clip on the tranny. Not sure if it can be used on 89+ cars.

I will measure it tonight, no problem.

                Thanks,
                Andy

Measurements are 8 1/8th inches end to end, approx. 7.4 inches pin to pin

I don't think there's a difference between early style and late selector rods. Correct me if I'm wrong. This is a solid deal. I've been toying with the idea of making my own DSSR and maybe some for other people. So i might buy this. Give me a few hours
