FS:
Short shift levers really are one of the cheapest, easiest, and rewarding mods to do on your BMW. They take less than an hour to install if you're a first timer.
SOLD e34 525i shifter. This shifter is identical in throw to the 2.8/3.0L Z3 shifter but offers a taller shift knob height (reduces effort needed when shifting). The 2.8/3.0L shifter has a nice throw, it is shorter than the 1.9L Z3 variant, and has little added resistance over the factory e30 shifter. Your shift knob will sit slightly higher than where it is now on your factory e30 shift stalk.
SOLD $47 SOLD
Remaining shifter is an e36 2.8/3.0L Z3 shifter. This shifter is one of the best all around shifters. Short throws, slight increase in resistance for the added shifter feel, and a shift knob sitting slightly lower than the factory e30 position. The forked end on the top where the shift knob snaps into on this shifter was bent slightly closed from my toolbox in the trunk. I opened the forks back up to the original position and filed the forks smooth again. It wont effect knob installation, and is covered by the shift knob. Ive lowered the asking price for this "blemish" if you want to call it that.
SOLD $35 SOLD
Both shifters will come with an e30 M3 hotwheels car as a free gift.
Both shifters have the same bend seen in the factory e30 shift stalk, so knob position in that respect will be the same. And as a note, in the past when Ive installed a used BMW shifter, I take a bit of epoxy and add a nice layer to the bottom bushing side of the shifter. This stiffens up the two pieces that make up each BMW shifter and increase the crispness when shifting.
