They are hub extender caps. They replace your dust cap on your front hubs, and add back the hub lip you lose when using the 12mm spacers behind the rotor, so you can still center your wheel properly.
Yes, the e36m rotors will work, that's what they are made for afaik.

Yes, the two threaded holes are so that you can drive a couple of screws in and push them back out, without gauging them up.

I'd be interested too if more of these get made.
Did anyone ever post a step by step?

Did anyone install their rear calipers with the bracket? And what calipers did you run?

5 Lug Kit Blow out sale

Fronts installed today e36 m3 hubs and brakes had to buy 17" wheels to fit over calipers 17x7.5 et28 no spacers or anything I will say the lug bolts need to be longer because of rotor spacer so I'm gonna use studs and lugs
Waiting for my e46m3 rear calipers to do rear

for the rear you have to use e39 calipers with e46 325i rotors. when i bought the rear kit is was 225 shipped which i feel like is a rip off when everything now is only 350.

The thread link in op first post said kit was running e46 m3 calipers and rotors front and rear, are you sure they are not the same part because the caliper I bought had an interchange part # for some 5 and 7 series cars. Will find out when my calipers get here
