It would be no different than if you bought a new dasglh from the dealer. Cars are not required to have a Vin on the dash. Only on the structure of the frame.

Just FYI....In some states they are. For example...Having a dash cover that cover the vin can get you a ticket. Lame ticket, but if a cop pulled you over, he has to write you up for something (at least in CA)

I ordered one from this seller on ebay. It came in damaged packaging was very poor. Seller only refunds you the 275 if you pay the 180 return shipping charge. I'm very disappointed in the transaction. Stick with US sellers on items like this

There has been an incident like this. The packaging was totally ok. Offered a partial refund because the item is fixable. And you should have went to the post office and made a claim because the item was damaged in the shipping process. No reason for me to give you free items if you cant even make the claim at USPS. I can't control the post offices work

In my experience the Post office won't pay. They will tell you it's the sellers responsibility to have insurance and seller makes the claim.

The package was insured but in order for me to make a claim at Europe, i need the USPS to already have the report from the buyer that the item has been damaged. Otherwise i could insure anything and just send the items out randomly and get the insurance money... that would be hell of a scam

I called USPS they said there is no coverage. Why would I want a partial refund for a useless piece of gear. The packaging was "industrial strength trash bags" and a flimsy cardboard piece wrapped around it. Not saying you a bad seller by any means but you could have been more helpful possibly covering half the shipping costs. I got a 270$ dash I need to deal with that's useless that's a bit depressing. But we will see the case is still open with ebay. I would steer away from overseas sells with dash boards and similar items.
P.s. Also everything you just mentioned to DELPHItimecapsule was not mentioned to me. Hah
