Leak Down Results
These were done on a COLD MOTOR, no oil was used to boost results. Please know that for best results the motor must be HOT. The cold results turned out great and should only be better when ran and re-tested.
Cylinder 1 - ~3% Leakage
Cylinder 2 - ~6% Leakage
Cylinder 3 - ~2% Leakage
Cylinder 4 - ~2% Leakage
Cylinder 5 - ~2% Leakage
Cylinder 6 - ~1% Leakage
This was pulled from a turbo BMW S52 setup and ran for less than 7k miles after modifications. Boost was at a moderate 12psi ~375-400hp on a TRM tuning package. The S52 bottom end has been proven to hold well over 600whp with proper tuning. A new oil pan gasket and a aluminum thermostat with thermostat and seals is included. This is a ready to bolt in motor for both OBDI or OBDII applications (requires the correct sensors). Motor was pulled because the car was in a collision and parted out. Was in perfect working order when removed. Leak down numbers are being posted very soon!
Block and all external components are in extremely nice CA condition. The pictures accurately reflect the true condition.
The motor was originally pulled from a 1998 M3 Sedan in ~2010. At ~140k miles the following things were done to prepare the motor for turbo application;
-Head removed, cleaned, pressure checked, decked, valve seals ~7k miles ago
-.098 VAC MLS Head Gasket (~9:1 Compression) ~7k miles ago
-ARP2000 Head Studs ~7k miles ago
-Tack welded oil pump nut ~7k miles ago
-Dr.Vanos rebuilt vanos ~7k miles ago
-Replaced Vanos solenoid ~7k miles ago
-TIG welded turbo oil drain on oil pan ~7k miles ago
-OBDII Valve cover and Seal Included
I have sensors for OBD1 and OBD2 use available upon request (your choice, no extra charge!)
Can deliver in CA for actual costs
