According to the kit listing from Pelican Parts, this kit is meant for E30 models 325/i/is/iC/iX built from 09/87-92. To be sure just check the build date on your car.

I believe the fan clutch and one or two other parts is different for i cars built before 9/87. Check out this link for more on the different parts between the two kits:
