    M Tech 1 Wheel - 385mm - SOLD

Up for sale I have an M Tech 1 385mm steering wheel. Wheel is in great shape with the exception of not having leather on it. Perfect wheel for someone to wrap and use. Would look almost new once re-wrapped. BMW roundel/badge is not included but if you absolutely have to have it we can work something out, which is why it's in the picture. Also, wheel is off of an '89 which as I am finding out means it is fine-splined (help me out if I am wrong, fairly new to the car still). If you have any questions or want more pictures, just IM me. Asking $60 shipped, but feel free to make offers.

    Thanks,
    Patrick

You are asking the wrong person. Only had the car for 3 months and am still learning. I believe the 88 and earlier cars had a coarse spline (don't quote me on that). If I were to guess, I would assume it is like a fine and coarse thread bolts. The finer the thread the more of them and closer together they are. I assume it goes the same for the splines.

And the only reason I make reference to it is that I have seen it mentioned on this forum many times.

I have put a '90 airbag wheel on my '85, because of that I think all e30s have the same wheel spline. E28s/24s have different splines, which e30 wheels don't work on, I know that much.

E30s have fine splines. E24 & E28 were coarse-splined through 09/85, then switched to the fine splines like the E30.
