Thanks all! These are going a bit slower than anticipated so if anyone has any questions on the status of an order don't hesitate to PM me.

I've also increased the price to $85 + actual shipping of $25. Unfortunately I've ended up taking a loss on the first few but hopefully the new price is still reasonable. You guys that got them at the introductory price better enjoy them! :)

            This is awesome!

You know you really should do one for the 2002 now....

+1 for adding kidneys ( - i know, someone is always a critic)

A 2002 would be pretty rockin'. You buy it, I'll design it. :)

The grills would add significant cost. I try to design these for manufacturability to keep the costs low. If you look at the width of your car's grill slats, they're somewhere in the 2mm thick range. Now think about shrinking your car down to 16-18" wide, how thin would the grill slats need to be to maintain proportionality? Not impossible to do, but there is a significant cost to it from a design, programming and then the associate scrap rate increase. I don't disagree that they would look good but with the surround having to be cut out fully along with the slats, you'd need a way to connect the slats to the "body" of the car to support them and it generally doesn't end up looking very good with thin tabs holding them in place.

With a name like Todd, I can't pass this up...

I think you only need to get the kidney outline, not the slats. I never see any slats until the ass ha t is up in my rearview on my bumper anyway.

I'll take one 2002 - at your leisure. I'll PM you.

I've got one up at powdercoating now. Hopefully I'll have it back next week but I'm not sure what their holiday schedule looks like. I'll get some pictures up when I get it back though. :pimp:

Based on the other designs and how they've ended up looking when backlit, I expect it to look virtually identical to the rendering. Obviously the switch and standoff cutouts won't be visible once installed, that will be about the only difference.
