I have a 4.10 LSD that came out of a previous car. As I was running a S50 and switched from an automatic to a manual this had to go. It was fun for a while though...
It DOES have some whine. It isn't deafening but it is there. I think it was a bit louder in mine simply because of resonance with the poly Condor riser bushings on my rear subframe. It is also missing one flange. I had to reuse one on a diff where one flange had a stripped bolt to the axle.
