            I guess I should have asked: Does the plated steel mounting plate shown in the pic have a place inside the factory seat back that it just bolts to? I assume you go in from the backside to access?

            Then do you just punch holes in the top of your vinyl seatback for the headrest uprights? Do those round trim piece cover up the cut?

            I like the idea of back seat headrests - my son hauls quite a few carless kids around town and to bike races.

                SOLD........ To answer your questions yes the E30 seatback frame has holes for the small bolts/nuts that are usually included in the headrest brackets. They are OEM. Yes you have to remove the seatback to install. Yes you do have to carefully cut very small holes (four total) in leather/vinyl that will be covered up by the included plastic grommets. These things sell fast but you'll find them posted here occasionally. Good luck! Thanks for you interest!
