I already have a 6 button in my US e30, would the short wiring be an easy fit? Is it just a matter of it being easier to plug in long wires?

Its actully the same for both :)
Wiring it is easy, there was a scheme somewhere on R3v. Its just a matter of plugging wires in the OBC plug.
