I am parting out a 1998 E36 M3 and just removed the steering rack. The car had 140K miles on it when parked for the part-out. Steering worked great and car was bought for the engine so not all smashed up. I drove it to where it is parked now. One of the tie rod boots is secured with a zip tie, a common practice when replacing the boot after an inner tie rod replacement or boot replacement. It comes with everything pictured if bought locally, but for those who would like this shipped I will be removing the tie rods. If someone would like to keep the tie rods intact the shipping price will be a bit higher due to increased box size. I can discuss this option over PM.
