Garagistic strut tower bar( COPPER )

Before you read this measure your strut towers center bolt to center bolt if you measure 38.75" or 38 3/4 or something very close to that. Then proceed to read. If you measure 39.5" or more or even a little less just let it go.

Bought from garagistic a couple weeks ago. Just doesnt fit my car dont want to modify it. Build quality it perfect not looking to ruin it. I learned my lessen to always test fit before going into anything more.

Powdercoated professionally super chrome, then coated with copper mixed with a candy gloss. It was a pretty penny getting it done. And came out perfect.

Any questions or comments pm me.

Asking 150 shipped. Bar was $80+shipping 20 =100 +60$ in powdercoating. I loose a couple bucks but would rather this go to a fitting car.

    Thanks

Edit - for reference my car is an 87 is.

          american racing brace

I hammered my American Racing brace in. Didn't realize shock tower distances could be different in e30s!

Apparently there was two different unibody sizes. Differentiating between early and late maybe not sure

I guess I need to remove the brace then. Don't want to harm the car.

Cant see that it would harm it, being that its for sure holding it tight. If it was close enough to hammer in then its probably not to far off. Now if you moved the bar an inch or so. Then yea. I could see why it could mess up the alignment or something maybe.

hmmmmm....this is odd that it doesn't fit. i have been playing with these cars a long time. i have never heard of there being two different unibody dimensions. i have a strut bar that is a little different than the one you are selling. i have had it on 5 or 6 e30's that i have owned over the years. never had the slightest issue. perhaps your car was in a wreck at one time. this is the only likely solution i can think of.

Had the same thoughts. Ive had all the frame checked body panels are all oem vin matching along with windows. Everything looks straight.

Are all of the Garagistic bars this size? My e30 with production date 1/92 takes this long bar. Also I think Ireland Engineering use to sell both the long and short bar. But only sell the short bar now.

Called garagistic they said they'll look into it. But yea they said all the bars are the same size. Except ofcourse the different 318i bar.

I went and measured my e30 again. It takes the short one.. one of my e30s took the longer one. Maybe it was my black one. Oh well..Good luck with the sale. I'm sure someone needs the longer one!!
