S50 longblock for sale - Northeast US

    Hello everyone...

I have an S50 engine that I sold on ebay last month. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEAFB%3AIT
The buyer took forever to pay me, and finally paid 3 weeks later. I found out this afternoon that the paypal account he paid me from was not his "girlfriends", it was an account he created with a stolen credit card. Anyway...
I called DHL and stopped the shipment from being delivered, But now the engine is in Philadelphia, and I would rather not pay freight back to Portland OR.
The engine is ready to be delivered TUESDAY to the tri-state area.

Amount needed to purchase: $1405 (Winning bid plus crating).
Amount due on delivery $253 if you have a forklift, $303 if you do not have a forklift (or loading dock).
    Paypal accepted!

Please call me ASAP at 503-319-3499 if you want this, if I dont have a buyer by Tuesday, it will be shipped back to Portland.

    Thanks!
    Joe

How many miles, and how much would it cost to get DHL to deliver to NH (zip 03304)? I have a forklift to unload.

    Thanks,
    Chris

Miles are unknown, it was originally from a theft recovery car... I would estimate around 150k?? (because of the lifter tick)

Freight from Portland to NJ was $253, I would say no more than an additional $100 (conservatively speaking). I would name a set price, but the freight is actually due TO DHL on delivery. I would expect an extra $50 to NH, but be prepared up to $100. Anything over $100 I will reimburse to you.

do you have any M52's (not s52) by chance?

If that was in Portland, I would take it off your hands in a new york minute.

              Pun intended :)

If it comes back PM me.

Basically it needs new lifters. (Well, needs A new lifter, but silly to replace just one while you are in there). You dont need to pull the head for this, just the cams. Also arguably, it doesnt HAVE to be done for it to be installed and running.

I noticed someone swapped an S/M52 valve cover and coils onto this S50engine. A theft recovery car... no cluster or broken? Engine from a customer wanted to upgrade from the S50 to a S52... or you got it from a theft recovery car?

I bought a "theft recovery car" last year, the guy money shifted it and faked that it was broken into... 100k on it, the trans mounts not being replaced and next thing you know runnning the gears for the mistake of a few thousand dollars.

I am sorry about your misfortune with that ebayer. At least you stopped the shipping and saved yourself a huge headache in a month from now trying to collect and have no engine.

I am in the Chicago area possibly interested... Let me know if you still have it..
Those that think they are, are not as they really are...

The valve cover was actually sanded/painted to look like the S52 cover, actually turned out well! I have had this motor for a long time (over 2 years). I originally got it from a theft recovery car, then sold it to a local customer. That customer wanted to upgrade to S52 OBD1, so I bought this S50 back from him.

Anyhow, it turns out that all of this was FULLY paypals fault GRRRRRRR, and was just resolved this morning.

If you are interested in an S52, let me know, I have one coming in this afternoon. Thanks!
