Do you know what engines this can be matted with?

It will mount up to any M60 series engine. If you change the bellhousing to the one from the e46 m3 it will fit most 6 cylinder engines too (m50/m52/s50/s52/s54/m42). I heard from a friend that the guys that track their e46 m3s often will sometimes blow up their transmissions and then part out the bellhousings so they aren't too hard to come by. I do know actually. It won't. The m30 series 6 cylinders have a different bolt pattern

Yes, you can fit a 6speed. You'll have to do a little work with the mounts and the linkage I believe. I think Garagistic sells an adapter for the mount, then you might be able to use some euro e36 m3 shift linkage (you'll have to search around on that one) or just shorten your current linkage I think. And then the last piece of the puzzle should be an e36 automatic driveshaft to fit
