I have a 3.46 LSD unit for sale with the E30 rear cover OR a E24 rear cover if wanted. Overall this diff is in great shape with no major rust, leaking seals, or other odd damage to the outside.
Lockup felt good and you could feel it working going around corners but there IS SOME WHINE. It is not overwhelming but it is present though I think it was exaggerated when I was running solid poly bushings all around; i.e. the NVH was more apparent without rubber dampening. It never clunked or did anything funny and honestly I was perfectly happy with it behind a 'louder' exhaust.
I'd like to get $350 + shipping (Greyhound) OR if you have a good line on BMW parts I'd be willing to TRADE for a set of extended fender flares for an E70 X5. I'd pay shipping of the diff, you ship the flares.
I'm also willing to do a Facetime call or Skype call to inspect the diff.
*Moisture seen on the dolly is NOT from the diff leaking! I had just cleaned it with my steam cleaner and that is the run-off
