i just got some samples sent from this company. Feels a little softer than stock and looks more like the carpet in my 89 325is than my 91 318. The 318 has the thicker "loop" type of carpet.

Well, if you click the link above, it says it does fit convertible. So if it does not, it's their fault and you could probably get them to do something about it.
