I'm willing to give away this transmission for free, but there are conditions.
1. I'm not shipping that thing, it is for local pickup only. (I'd be willing to put it in my pickup and meet you somewhere reasonably close.)
B. You must be an active racer or autocrosser in the SF Bay Area.
iii. You have to put advertising for my new live sound and live recording business on your competition car(s) for, oh, say, 3 years.
I've been E-30-less for several years. When I was still driving my '90 325i, a local shop advised me that the noises I was experiencing were an indication of inevitable transmission failure. I had an opportunity to buy a used transmission from a Bay Area racer who no longer needed it. I was told it worked fine when removed from a car that had less than 100K miles (I don't remember the exact mileage). It was a friend of a friend, so I trusted him. I put it in storage to await the day it would be needed. A couple of years later I sold the car with the original transmission working fine. I still have the extra transmission.
(It fits E30 325i/is as far as I know, and possibly other models. I'm not really up on transmission fitments these days.)
My new business needs some exposure. So, I'll get some signs printed up to stick on your car. And I'll also come watch you race, to make sure you're playing along. (Cheering extra.)
Let me know if you're interested.
Just to be sure I'm not violating forum rules:
Price = free, $0, but only in exchange for the advertising I mentioned.
(OK, forum rules advise me to post pictures, but I don't see anything to click on to upload said pictures. What am I missing?)
