    s54 standalone swap kit

    Sold

    Complete kit with:
-Custom made wiring harness ''Plugs straight to x20, Little mod is needed to convert to c101 for e30s''
-standalone Typhoon ECU from ''specialist components uk'' Uploaded with stock s54 map, I also have a dyno improved map ''would not run it as everys54 is different''
    -CanBus connecting hardware and software.
    -USB extension dual outlet cable.
-Modified vanos solenoid control unit to run with the standalone ''MODDED to accept different signal and adjust vanos, WILL NOT WORK ON STOCK S54 WITH MSS54''
    -CSL inlet air temp sensor
-3 Pron map sensor ''not used'' FOR anyone wanting to run a hybrid ALPHA N setup
-VAC MOTORSPORT cable trottle conversion kit ''MODDED, HARDWARE CORRECTED TO CORRECT THE STICKY THROTTLE FEEL'' done so well it feels 20% heavier then original throttle feel with stock engine.
    - Podi oil and water sensors ''extra''
    -AEM wideband/ Gauge

Total cost of this setup was over 2500$ and that's without the wiring harness or the podi gauge, AEM wideband or the man hours to put it together...

Wow. That is wicked low. What's wrong with it? What am I missing other than 1G and another E30?

Clutch stuff as well. Mounts, etc.

Great beginning to a swap for sure, hardest part right here
Drive it hard. Maintain it well.

          Nothing is missing guys.
Thats what u need to swap an s54 into a lada if you want.
This is a plug and play runing on alpha N, so slapping a csl box on the s54 is no problem.. Lol
I no longer have the motor, it is being parted on a thread here and on 2 other forums.
I m not going back the s54 route so I have no need for it.
I hope someone can make good use of it. And I will be making enough money to refresh an s50 to put back in the car along with a 6 speed and a 3.73lsd 40% lock.
          Should be fun.

What did you like and not like about the s54 swap? Why going back to s50? Curious because I'm thinking of doing a s54 swap project in the near future. Your feedback would be helpful. Thx

                You want my honest opinion?
S54 a shitty engines. Yes they make power, but every repair is costly and one thing leads to another...
From Rod bearings recall, valve adjustment, vanos problems all the way to the simplest thinks like tools to do the work... just not worth 5k to buy a motor and halfway rebuild it. If you can spend half that and have a good "daily, track able s50"
The s50 is a simple and reliable motor, I like it better then the s52 because I a big fan of NA power. Knowing most people like the s52 for it "boost ability".
You can simply improve the s50 with a good dyno tune, bigger injector and headers to make a good 235rwhp.
Yes its a little of a long shot from an s54s 280rwhp stock but with few little mods like a shorter lsd 3.38 or 3.45! You d be right there infront of an e46 m3.
Hell my trm stage 2 s50 hang in there with a stock e46 m3 from a 20roll all the way to 130mph...
                I m going 6 speed and 3.73lsd 40% lock.
Full dyno tune s50 with trm headers, 24lb injectors, full exhaust, s54 oil pan/pump/housing... bla bla bla!
So many reasons I can hate an s54 its not even funny

Thanks that's good info. My buddies in my car Club all have built e46 m3's. So when we go on drives I'd like to be able to hang in my e30. The up side for me is between the 3 of them I have all the tools. And I know what you mean by all the specialty stuff. Just helped my buddy rebuild his vanos and adjust the valves.....14 hours later. Lol! Anyway good info to ponder. I appreciate your input.
