    S52 Race Engine

    Performance built S52 - SOLD

This engine was built for a BMWCCA C-Mod, NASA GTS, NASA ST and NASA E0 race car. It is currently installed in an E30 club race car. This engine would be an excellent candidate for either an E30 swap car or an E36.
With over $10K invested into this build this is an excellent value for the buyer.

This engine is very fresh and runs strong.

Use this Photobucket link for photos, dyno sheet and videos.

Less than 10 hours on the bottom-end

Less than 1 hour since head gasket replaced by OMS (idler pulley broke on track, head gasket replaced as precautionary measure, head checked by machine shop checked the head and everything was perfect)

Recent DynoJet dyno run produced 265 RWHP and older DynoJet sheet making about 10 less horsepower is posted in the Photobucket. The tune is conservative running with rich (more fuel at the high end) and conservative timing.

    Build Details:
    VAC Race Cams
Supertech Valve train with titanium valve retainers, race springs
Riot Racing Big Bore Throttle body
    S50/M50 intake manifold
    Stewart Water Pump
    RC Engineering Fuel Injectors
Custom pistons with valve relief "anti-money shift"
Stock compression rate which allows for 91 octane pump gas tune
    Fresh gaskets, bearings, and seals
Parts in the photo that are NOT included:

Does NOT include current oil block on the engine, a stock oil filter housing block will be provided with purchase.

Does NOT include intake tubing from the air filter up to the throttle body

    Does NOT include engine mounts

Does NOT include shorty headers but will include M50/S50 cast manifolds that are JetHot coated.

Does NOT include ECU or engine harness but we are willing to sell the ECU and harness with the engine as a package.

The engine currently uses an Electomotive TECR3 with the current tune and a custom engine harness. TEC3R includes wire harness, MAP sensor and idle air control valve. It is pre-wired for the BMW coil-on-plug and utilizes the S52 crank sensor and stock knock sensors – $6,500 for engine and Tec3R with S52 Race Tune

Tec3R with S52 Race Tune and wire harness $,1000 if sold separately

Here are the parts used for the build with their new price.
NOTE -- We are not parting out the engine it is being sold with all of these parts installed.

Sounds like a beast. My very healthy S52 with a chip and headers made 240 at the wheels and the car was extremely fast.

This engine could be tuned to make more power. More timing, adjusting the fuel rate and going with race gas could all add horsepower.
