    FS: Mtech stripes NIB

    They look like this...

...only they are in a box with German writing on it.

These were the last set left in inventory when I bought them from the BMW dealer last year, who had them shipped from Germany. I think I paid around $200 for them, which is what I would like to get back outta them.

Red is probably the only color they wouldn't look right on. ;)

You can still purchase these. They arent NLA.

Looks good on some cars.... not so much on others.
            Below the radar...

The system lists them as available, but when you try and order them from BMW they show none in stock.

When I ordered them about 1.5 ago, we searched the system for about half an hour. The only (i.e., singular) set left in stock at that time was in Germany. Took about 3 weeks for them to arrive here.

I personally know of several other people who have attempted to get a set since that time, and whenever they try and order out of the system they get a "none available" response. And since they aren't being produced by BMW, they really are NLA despite appearancess to the contrary. ;)

There's always a chance that you will find some stuck in some dealer's stock shelf somewhere for the past 20 years, or that someone has a set they will return, or that BMW will fire-up production of the stripes for a 20 year old model... but those are pretty slim chances.

If someone wants an original set, this may be the only way to get an OEM part. You could always have a sign shop duplicate them. I looked into that before I purchased them, and the estimates ranged from$250 - $300... and they still wouldn't be "DTM". :D

The system also lists many items, such as certain BMW pistons as NLA. We've placed many orders for such NLA items, and had them arrive a month later.... from Germany. Trust me ;)

Anyways, there are other locations to buy these OEM. Doesn't matter... this is a good deal for some that are ready to ship.

                Regards,
                Chris
