SOLD
I'm selling off the setup I had in my e30:
Alpine CDA-9885
Aux in adapter (plugs into rear of unit)
iSimple bluetooth adapter w/microphone and USB charging port
Ground loop isolator (to eliminate the possibility of ground loop noise caused by the USB charging)
As seen in the picture, I ran the power cable for the bluetooth adapter up behind the HVAC controls into the dashboard, and drilled a small hole in the switch blank plate to mount the microphone/button. With no real effort, it blends in quite seamlessly, freeing you from having wires running everywhere to connect your phone.
The call quality is good, and the microphone works well. Additionally, the music streaming quality was about on par with an aux connection.
Overview of the head unit:
18 watts RMS/50 watts peak x4 channel
front/rear/sub 4 volt pre outs
Switchable Blue/Red button color (red isn't a perfect match the the e30, but it is close enough that it blends in and doesn't stick out).
HD radio can be added with the external adapter from Alpine.
I am missing the iPod cable, but it can still be obtained for about $10 on ebay.
The cage I have isn't the original cage, so it doesn't snap in place properly. I have raced, rallied, and autoX'd the car with this head unit, and it doesn't budge, but it can be pulled out without the appropriate removal tools.
Cosmetically, the head unit is a 7/10. Functionality is a 10/10.
This is a great sounding setup that blends well into the e30 dash.
PM with zip code for total price with shipping.
