Almost FREE M20 w/ Auto Trans (needs work)

Hey fellow R3V members. I would like to offer a great deal to forum members who are local or willing to drive. (north of Pittsburgh, PA)

I have an M20 recently pulled from my 87 325is. The automatic transmission also is included and worked fine. I lost most of the compression in one of the cylinders. I still drove it 45 miles to it's destination for the motor swap (went M62). Not that you want to drive it like this... Anyways, the mileage is 190k-ish and there are many parts that could be used, parted, etc. Brand new O2 sensor.

$100 (to buy my wife and I dinner :)) picked up and no shipping.

    Thanks for looking,
    Mr. Wolfe

I'm interested in the wiring harness for the engine if you're willing to split it from the motor/still have it.

Give me a few days to see what happens, but certainly a possibility.

I'm interested. What kind of condition is the engine in other than no compression in one cylinder?

We did a leak down and compression test back in December. The numbers were all consistent except for one cylinder. I bought the car 1.5 years ago and probably put 5k miles on it total. The engine always had a "ticking" sound, but it ran good. I don't think I am qualified to tell you more about the engine because I really just don't know. I put a new O2 sensor and alternator on last year.

Any cracks or damage to the engine? Or have you not looked that far into it?

No I don't think there are any cracks anywhere. I can take a bunch of pictures if you would like. Just let me know.

I can't believe you are in pittsburgh...

It seems like there is never anything I need nearby. I'm in ohiopyle. I'll be there Monday morning with 100 dollars for your engine/trans. If that works for you of course.

I would have came today but I just now saw your ad. I have to work the next two days.
