My m52 turbo swap is about done so it's time to put up the old m20 sts setup. Here's the story and details on the kit.
Kit was built by one of the employees at STS in 2011 when the car had 150k miles, car now has 190k and was working fine when pulled. No smoking or anything to indicate a problem with the system. I drove with it for 3 months before my m20 started knocking and now that my m52 turbo is ready this needs to go.
Sts rear mount turbo kit- TD04 s trim turbo with .36 a/r, 3" k&n filter, 2.5" intercooler piping, eBay intercooler, TCD stage 1 clutch, TCD turbo chip, vortech FMU, aem wideband gauge with sensor, silicone intake elbow, turbosmart BOV, Tial 38mm wastegate w/5lb springs. All you will need is a walboro 255lph fuel pump. Good mild setup good to add 100 hp easily- $1200 with rebuilt "i" head included. Prefer local deal but I know that's unlikely, may be able to figure out shipping.
Goods- cheap and simple turbo setup, no need to modify exhaust as this system is essentially an exhaust, no extra under hood temps, cool sounds.
Bads- exhaust and turbo setup have surface rust, no bubbling yet. Charge piping could use some beads rolled on ends to keep everything more secure, crack in chargepipe needs welding, lessens ground clearance on lowered cars.
My car was doing 5 psi at 3000 rpm in 3rd gear and on and holding that to redline. In 1st and 2nd won't get full boost till 4000 rpm. With some boost leaks fixed and a good controller I'm sure you could up it to 10 psi and have a lot faster spool.
Hit me up for more Pictures, just uploading what I have on my phone for now
