    Feeler: M20B25 out of '90

I'm swaping in an m50 shortly, and I'm wondering what a complete m20b25(ecu w/ chip, injectors, accesories, a/c pump, ps pump, etc)

I was thinking around $300 if im lucky?

Should be worth more than that if it's running well, with reasonable mileage. You just have to find the right LOCAL person to buy it, and I think they should be willing to pay at least $4-500 for it.

Post it up on your local Craigslist- but don't bother with the BMW lingo (99% of the people who drive an E30 have no idea what M20B25 means.....). Just list it as a good used engine for an '84-91 325i, complete and ready to run. People are STILL breaking timing belts on these cars all the time, so their is a market for complete used stock engines.

I think it depends on milage, history and how fast the buyer needs an engine. If someone is going to pull apart the engine and rebuild or wants it for the parts, they may not jump for the higher price...however someone who breaks their timing belt on Friday and needs the car as a DD come Monday...now you have yourself a captive audience :)

          I know I would gladly pay $300~400 for a good used 150,000 mile M20B25.
