2006 BMW M3 6 Speed Transmission (not SMG) for parts or needing parts
This transmission came with an engine I bought here off the forum. When it showed up it had a hole in the rear cover so the shop sent me another transmission to replace it. I had to steal the front half to make a whole transmission.
What you have here is a 56,000 mile transmission out of a rollover car that was driving when it crashed. I don't have any other details. The transmission shop said it looked clean but that's about all I know.
You have four options:
1. Use this as spare parts to rebuild another transmission (I've researched and found that quite a few people actually rebuild these tranny's it's just that you can't get the parts from BMW. Hence using used parts for a rebuilt).
2. Find a replacement front and rear half and have them put on. The front half was easy to swap, I believe the back half is more difficult but can be done.
3. Find a replacement front half and have the back section repaired (weld the hole and have mount tabs welded on)
4. If someone wants to they could rip it apart and sell all the parts individually. From what I see on ebay you could make a decent amount.
List Date: 8/3/2016
