Great question, removing rubberized undercoating definitely isn't fun... You should buy this chassis so you don't have to do it...

Researching online, I found out about MBX's bristle blaster. Unfortunately i didn't have the money to buy the whole tool but i did find these from home depot: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Avanti-Pr...D01G/202830914 (near the wire wheels).

Those are almost the same concept as MBX bristle blaster but cheaper and meant for your drill instead of their proprietary tool. Then I decided to try MBX's bands which conveniently fit on the Avanti arbor. MT-USBU-030-11 purchased here: http://www.nortonsandblasting.com/ns...-mbxbelts.html. They work better than the Avanti straight bristle bands but even those work a lot better than anything else i tried because they don't melt the rubber. I bought the 11mm MBX bands cause they're about half as thick as the Avanti ones and fit into tight spaces better. Two 11mm bands fit in the avanti arbor so i'd assume the 23mm band would be a direct fit, without cutting up an old avanti band to fill the extra space on the arbor.

So those and tons of time. Good luck.
