It would be sweetness if you could design something that would replace the plunger switch thing. It's such a ghetto design and ugly as hell. Something as simple as a flip switch would be cooler than what's there now.

Like a three way toggle switch? My only concern is getting it to mount into the stock plate in place of the stock plunger.
I'm not concerned with peeps such as yourself installing one, but in order to make it more marketable to "the masses," I think it would be easiest to just use the stock plunger.

I'm definitely in, I've wanted this feature for the e30 ever since I had it in my 2005 Lumina (Holden Commodore) rental last year.

        Shouldn't be a problem for HID's right?

yeah, the HID shouldn't matter, esp with the timing of the sensor.

How would you all feel about keeping the stock plunger switch and making it : Off (all the way in), parking lights/auto headlights (middle position), On (all the way out)?
I hate the stock plunger. I would LOVE to replace it with a knob style control, with the three settings. I can't imagine it being that hard, and it would make a nice touch. I'd pay a couple bucks extra if it mattered.

EDIT: Think a knob like the blower speed knob, only with 3 settings, and it would mount right where the stock one is now. Slap the knob on the front, just like the blower/temp knobs, call it a day. More modern, more accurate and less flimsy, and mounts in the stock location!

What about an auto dimming feature?

My 1980 Cadillac had the auto headlight feature and another dimming feature that detected oncoming lights or city lights and automatically dimmed my brights until they pass. I used to love that shit.

Sounds like a pretty sweet idea. We'll see. Probably too much R&D for how much people would be willing to pay for the module on r3v lol.

FUck other people. I want my lights at their usual brightness whenever I have them on!

Due to the potential legal issues that may arise in the event of an equipment failure, these will no longer be produced for sale.
