VERY RARE Euro Cockpit Headlight Adjusters

This is the original E30 switch that you use to adjust your headlights up and down from inside the car! I still haven't found the time to instal this properly, although I'm just tempted to install it only for the coolness factor at night(it lights up amber red).

Do you have the rest of the system, to the actuators? Faceplate, modified kick panel etc?

Honestly, if that is indeed cut as it appears to be thats basically useless now. I never intend to thread crap, but I'm just saying, that whole system is hydraulic. There isnt really any way to bleed the system at all, so if the lines are cut, its just bling factor. The back side has two lines from the control unit and two metal nail things/plugs nearby for each line. The plugs were installed at the factory to presumably seal the system, and there is no documentation how to bleed if its possible at all, or what fluid to use. There just isnt really a way to fill the system, and the whole thing comes new from BMW as a complete set (though NLA as far as I know, and if theyre found most if not all have problems from age, even new old stock) from the knob to the actuators.

That being said, these are still very rare and do look awesome. If a buyer will pay $50 for it, awesome, just caveat emptor. FWIW though, I have a complete set I *might* want to pass along. I havent decided quite yet though, but Ive been thinking about it.

The factory e30 setup was hydralic, which is useless and crap. The switch is the only part worth anything.

I have the switch, which is cut, however I plan on rebuilding mine with e34 electric adjusters and converting the e30 switch over to a potentiometer.

OT.. That'd be certainly an interesting project James. I did see on german ebay a while back an electric version of it that I THINK was specifically for the e30. Oh well. Mine dont adjust ALL the way, but none of them do. It still moves, and therefore is still more than just a switch. The switch itself would be a great starting point for a project such as yours, though. Ive kinda thought about how you'd eventually make yours work. Cool idea.
