Those coil springs, are they different than the factory ones on my ‘89 i car?

The bilsteins are oem right, not like the HD ones?

Sorry I’m not knowledgeable, those sway bar links, mine are all like 3” tall, where do those long ones go?
    My son has the 1987 325e, 2 door, 5speed
    I daily the 1989 325i, 4 door, 5speed

Is springs a slightly lower and stiffer. Old spring won’t be able to tell the difference

Sway bar links look like are for m3

I'm not sure exactly what are on your i car, you would have to see what package came with your car. There is a part number on the springs, I just do not have a picture of it.

          B4 Bilsteins, not HD.

Sway bar end links are for e36 5lug swapped cars I believe.

              Springs wanted(?)

              Hey there!

Looking to bring the suspension on a '91 318is back to stock, so I'm definitely interested in the springs.

However, I know it might get a bit tricky swapping parts among the various E30s, so I'm a bit hesitant. These parts are coming off that 325is you have pictured, I assume. The fact that the 325 engine is heavier probably means that it had beefier front springs than my 318, right?

Do you have any insight as to compatibility? Anyone know if I might somehow ruin my 318is if I put 325is springs on her? I'm also planning on replacing the shocks with Sachs or KYBs, incidentally (I'm really not loving the Billstein/Vogtland setup she has now).

              Thanks for the help!

I believe if you have a 318, you have the 45mm struts. I could be wrong, but i dont think they will work for the front. I believe the rear should be the same though.

Drat. You’re probably right. I guess I was hoping the fact that they’re both “is” wouldv’e indicated compatibility.

I’ll check back if I discover otherwise.
