-lots of more steering angle
-adjustable Ackermann angle, orginal for street/race, zero for drifting
-fits with orginal tie rods E30, E36 or E46 (specify before you order!) (trimming of the thread required for strut clearance on E30/E36M applications)
-minimum recommended wheel size 16"
-steering angle reducers recommended
-control arm end might require slight grinding using E30, E36 or E36M strut to allow brake rotor clearance
-comes with instructions, mounting hardware and of course MagnusRacingTeam decals
-Control arms and tie rods NOT INCLUDED
Why do you need one?
When lowering your car (BMW E30, E36, E46 etc.) the front end geometry goes wrong. The main purpose of the kit is to correct these issues. The adapter changes the wheel bearing to control arm joint distance by 30mm correcting the roll-center and camber curve, same thing applies to tie rod end which is also moved closer to control arm joint changing the lever ratio giving you quick steering and allowing way more steering angle. The new special feature is Ackermann adjuster, you can insert it either way: remain the orginal angle for street/race or decrease the angle to zero giving you desired handling for drifting and even more angle!
Does it fit my car?
The kit fits E30, E36, E36 M3 and E46 spindles/struts, just mention the struts and tie rods you have and we will include the right mounting hardware. These won't fit E30 M3, E30 iX, E46 M3 nor E46 xi/xd.
Control arm bearing insert only fits E46 aluminum control arms with 48,5mm to 50mm diameter outer end hole (specify before you order!)
### We guarantee fitment with OEM parts only, please check that your parts are equipped with BMW logo ! ###
### Brake rotor backspacing in BBK kits or differences in aftermarket control arm casting might require extra work ! ###
Is it easy to install?
The kit comes with instructions, if you know how to change a control arm or an outer joint, installing this is not any harder. You'll need a press for removing the old outer joint and pushing the new adapter in. No other special tools needed. If you need any further info please contact us!
How about the lifetime and service of the kit?
The kits and bearings have been proved on street and track by many of our customers. We have had the very same bearings as is with no maintenance for 15,000miles through the year in daily use without signs of excessive wear. However when the bearing life comes to end, they're easily replaceable! Bearings are available around the world from automotive or industry dealers. Of course any of the spare parts can be bought separately directly from us.
We want to keep our customers 100% happy thus we're only using the best materials and manufacturing process available. All parts are CNC machined: aluminum parts are AW-6082 with hard anodized finish (silver and black), steel pins are made of CrMo tool steel and adjusters are stainless steel. ARP™ fasteners are used in critical areas.
