I have for sale a used OEM ZKW Fog light which I've restored the clarity of the original glass lens to a like-new finish. I used diamond discs to sand down the glass lens smooth and free of rock chips, then polished with cerium oxide.

I put facelift bumpers onto our 86, which had the foglights on it but the lenses were destroyed. Were there different styles of facelift foglights because I don't recall them having a projector type lens inside them at all. I though you'd posted pics of these aftermarket ones for a min there but clearly these are stock.

As far as I know ZKW was the only manufacturer for late model fog lights and they come with that crescent-shaped internal lens. The lights I have been selling are all original, 27 year or older lights that had pitted lenses. After sanding & polishing the glass and cleaning the inside they come out almost as good as new.

However, a long time ago I do remember seeing an old BMW brochure on here of an OEM BMW true projector fog light option for the e30. Similar to the e34 projector fog light. I'm not sure if it ever made it into production and it was just shown in the brochure. Maybe some one else remembers what I'm talking about and can chime in

The crescent looks cool and modern compared to the basic reflector headlights my car has now, so seeing that design made me tthink they're aftermarket. I'll have tp double check mine when I get home but the lenses are broken so replacement is my only option.
