Do you have the little adapter part bolted on it? The part that makes it a 4 bolt pattern to the firewall from the 2 bolt side on the MC itself.

I NEED pics of that part F'ing Barvarian Imports crushed the IX mine came out of already, and it didn't ship with the part.

PM me please so I can get some pics from you so I can weld up my own. I need to see the way the flanges "twist" the bolt pattern.

    Thanks!

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

OT: but to answer LINUS's question. I dont think you "need" the adapter, I have not tried this but I think another member on this board did after telling him I think this would work. But I am 99% sure that if you shorten the IX shaft like the 320i booster and poke 2 more holes in the firewall it will bolt up. The good part about this is you get the IX double drum design, and the real kicker is I dont think you will need a remote res.

Not to thread-jack, but my plan is to shorten up the MC rod, and to make a new adapter that is much shorter to use all 4 of the holes in the firewall (might be like 3/4" thick, maybe even thinner) . I remember the idea brought up back then too, and it seemed like it wasn't thought of too highly to just punch 2 new holes in the thin sheetmetal.

Sorry Mitch, at least you're getting some free bumps and maybe someone else will want to try my experiment too and buy your MC.
