    WTS: S14, trans, DME

    Greeting All,

I am beginning an S52 conversion and I'm selling a 1988 S14, transmission, and DME from my M3 victim! Basically, I'm going to unplug the motor and trans, unplug the DME and remove everything. 147xxx miles. Compression numbers 195-210 psi dry. No smoke, nice idle. 100% stock with the exception of a TMS oil pan baffle installed by the PO. I have not removed the engine yet and do not intend to do so untill I get a buyer, or untill the S52 is ready. If you live in Texas and are interested enough to drive down to San Antonio, we can take it for a drive.

$3250 shipping fees will be the responsibilty of the buyer. I will deliver this to DFW, Houston, or similar points south and west.

    Thanks,

    kroberts

What is wrong with you people??? Don't you realize that you are killing the value of your M3 for a measley $3000 dollars??? You wanna do the s52 swap...great! but seperating that motor from that car for good is probably one of the worst ideas ever. Do the swap but keep the s14 around for the day when you realize that your car isn't worth shit without it. 15 years from now M3's will be highly collectable and M3's without s14's wont be, they'll just be some shitty old BMW that isn't worth much. Save the motors!

I think that's the beauty of everyone having their own car and doing what they want with it.
Great price on the s14 by the way, I'd love to get one someday...

                  Package on the market again.

$2500 ($3000 for anyone in Duncan SC)

I need to clarify a few things first. Engine has been removed from car now. I guess you can come over and stare at it if you want. No delivery. I will palletize this stuff (two skids) You tell me which freight dock to deliver it to in suburban San Antonio. The engine has almost 148000 miles on it. You can not drop it into your race car and expect to do much. It is old and dirty and tired, but it's all here and I swear on my childrens' eyes that it ran. Package consists of the engine and harness, transmission, DME. The mechanical fan clutch was ruined. I threw it away. If an item is attached to the engine, it is included. If it is attached to the car, it is not included. If you have a question about something, I would be happy to answer it.

                  Thanks for your time,

                  kroberts

Why don't you just buy all the E30 M3's - then we won't have to subject you to the horror of butchering them. You guys who don't even own a single M sure can talk a good talk. I listen to the guys who have a solid S14 car, but all those like yourself really need to check yourself. Not just you personally, all 'S14 eliteists' who don't even own one are hard to take seriously.

I understand your point, it just is getting old to hear from non-S14 owners.

Sorry KRoberts - S14 sale on. Free bump.

1600's with 02 engines are worth good money - as are 2002s with s14s and m20s - even tiis with s14s go for alot of cash. I say all this - but it's because i want an s14 for my 02. lol

If this had been up for sale months ago I would've grabbed her by the nips. Too bad I'm already thigh deep in 3.2 stroker conversion. Best of luck with the sale, and with the swap. One day I'll own an e30 m3. No doubt in my mind on that.

I don't own a 60's Ferrari either but it doesn't take a pink slip for me to know those cars should be left alone. Not saying don't modify your car, just saying one day you'll want the motor/numbers to match. Don't listen to my talk, but I'll listen to you cry someday when an original ETA is worth more than your frankensteined M3.
