Straight up Feeler for a m52

Mods i have no clue where to put something of this nature so i will start it out here and see what you think about it.

What would you guys pay for a complete 24v kit. This would include 100% of the things needed for a swap into a e30. The motor would be a obd1,M52B28 with s52 cam shafts, chip, m3 injectors and a few other goodies. The transmission would be a getrag 260 with a lightweight flywheel and m3 clutch. You would get a rewired harness, motor mounts, transmission mounts and late model coolant setup if desired. A 320i brake booster would be included and a full exhaust system for a 24v e30. I am forgetting things but you guys get the idea, you wouldn’t have to do any custom work, it would be plug and play. This isn’t a for sale thread so don’t get mad at me for not posting pictures and more detailed info.

4 would be a good number, anyone else have any ideas? How much would just the motor go for? I know s50/2 but i dont really know anything on m52's.

I feel like you could get someone to pay between 2000-3000 for it. Any more would be lucky on your part. That or it would be sale for a long time.

4k is fair, considering all the obd1 stuff is done, all the hard conversions are done. The cams + chip are 800 bucks alone....

4k sounds reasonable to be....obd1 converison can get $$

also consider just sellin swap parts..modded e21 brake boosters, tranny brackets...etc..for some people..like me for example...dont have the necess. tools to fab up those parts....

i'll be a customer for sure for already modd brake booster and tranny bracket...

Unless I got a smokin deal I think that 4 is high. I paid exactly that for a 45K S52 with ZF and all the OBD1 stuff - I just had to add a oilpan & pickup, and booster. I already had the driveshaft, but I don't see you mention that either.
And I had to come up with a trans bracket.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

True but remember, the booster is already fabricated, along with the trans bracket and spliced wire harness and the work Is done for the obdI. It would be plug_and_play and people who don’t know much about working on cars can benefit from this and to benefit I think its fair that they pay a higher price for having the work done. And the drive shaft would be included.

Hey - it's your stuff, and if someone is willing to pay that much, great. You are right about the booster, that's what-$200, and a driveline-$150? Wiring harness setup already - that's helpful too.
How many miles on your M52 - that would help somebody decide.

I don't claim to have any clue on pricing, and I do all my own work so labor isn't a factor by me. I get the feeling though that M motors go for quite a bit less than S motors, so if you think your turn-key parts equal the difference then it's a apples for apples thing.

Anyhow, most everyone else here seems to like your price so it'll probably sell for that. Good Luck.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.
