FS: Abit motherboard, Intel P4 2.66, 512MB RDRAM

I have some older-but still very good!-computer components that I am no longer using. I was using this setup to test the RC2 of Windows Vista Ultimate and it ran it very well. I will not be splitting the pieces up-I would rather sell it as a package.

Abit TH7II-Raid Socket 478 ATX Motherboard with Intel 850 chipset. All details and downloads can be found here:

Intel Pentium 4 2.66GHz 533MHz FSB Processor with heatsink and fan included.

Two Kingston 256MB PC800 memory sticks of RDRAM (512MB total). In case you don't know, RDRAM MUST be installed in pairs.

$125 shipped in the U.S. for everything. If you want, for an extra $20 I will throw in two 40GB 7200 RPM hard drives for a cheap RAID config.

Also-I have numerous older IBM Thinkpad laptops lying around. The models I have are the 560E, 570E, 600, T20, T21 and maybe a T22. Might be missing a few parts (AC adapter, floppy drive, etc.) but they are overall in good condition. Let me know if there is any interest and I will post them up too.

Nope, I skipped over the T30 series when it was released. Closest I have would be a near mint T23 1.13GHz with the hard to find built-in wireless, but I am not sure I am ready to part with it yet.

Not a bad price. RDRAM is hard to find and expensive on its own, that ram alone could end up costing $125.

Damn Eric, thanks for reminding me of my overclocking days.

The TH7II-Raid is a fantastic motherboard. I ran an Engineering Sample Pentium 4 2.0A Northwood on that thing at 2.7Ghz Watercooled for over a year. Including modding the voltage regulators to force more power into the damn processor. The motherboard never once blipped, and is still running today in another machine that I sold to a friend.

Its older tech, but Rambus overclocked to PC1066, and a high clocked P4 is still a very quick combo.

No onboard video-sorry. But, if you have only basic video needs (no gaming, etc) I will include an AGP video card for free. Will most likely be an older ATI Rage Pro 8MB card, but it will be enough to get you going.

My overclocking started with my very first 'up to date' computer back in 1994. I bought a Quantex PC with a Pentium 75MHz, replaced the motherboard with a Tyan Titan something or other, and overlocked it to 90MHz! I may have gotten it up to 100Mhz, but probably not reliably.

Even though I owned a computer business on the side (still do actually) I would always buy the cheaper CPU's for my personal use and overclock them. You probably remember the Celeron 300a CPU and everyone taking them to 450...those were the days!

I am not as much into it these days, buy my current rig at work is a P4 3.06Ghz o/c'ed to 3.6Ghz. Runs pretty nicely, but I sure have my eye on those Core 2 Duo's....

The memory is worth more than anything-at least $35-40 or so used. The motherboard and CPU, hard to say-probably $40 total. But you never know what someone is willing pay!
