I recently purchased a Canon Digital Rebel XT, so my Nikon is up forsale. I have owned it since December of 2001, and it has not seen a lot of use. It is in almost new condition, with the only issue being the door that covers the compact flash slot has a broken latch (a very common thing with these cameras), so I use a small piece of Scotch tape to secure it. Besides that, it is in perfect working and physical condition.
During 2001-2002, this was the top of the line digital camera in the Nikon pro-sumer range. It is 3.34 megapixels and has many manual features that today are usually only found in digital SLR's. Back in the day it retailed for $1000 and was about the top digital camera on the market.
Although newer cameras have higher megapixel sensors, the results provided by this camera are still very good in comparison. The macro capability of these older Nikons is still almost unmatched today.
