Component Speaker Panel 6.5" for 2dr Coupe

I was looking into these and did a ton of research. They will only fit with a very small depth 6.5". You only have about 3/4" to make a speaker fit, or about 1" if you don't mind mounting directly to the sunroof motor and remove the plastic weather protector. Otherwise they need some work to make 6.5's fit. I have my door panel pulled if anyone would like to see the room you have to work with. Blaupunkt makes a thin mount 6.5 that might fit, and there are some other older models.

Correct...I understand that. There are plenty of speakers that fit, just not any 6.5" component will fit. For those that asked, here are the pictures of the door, and the panel from the rear to give you an idea of depths. also keep in mind that these require removing the map pockets which also means the door handle won't have a base other than the two screws.
I am not trying to hurt your sale, just trying to help people understand. Again, there are tons of speakers that can be made to fit. If you have no windows you could fit about anything, but the scissor arms are right in the way.

Nope, you're incorrect :) The handle had three screws, not two.
BTW, the guy that creates those panels is actually created for his own E30 M3. He used to work as a stereo installer so I believe he did a throughout research before he created those panels.

What panel? Your E30 M3 panel above has two screws, not three. It has an indent clip at the top by the mirror controls, but there are two screws and a slide in attachment at the bottom on the map pocket. I understand a stereo installer built them, but I did a ton of research for my own use...possibly trying to purchase them. You would need about a 1" spacer to make any speaker work except the very thin mount speakers. Thats all I was trying to say. Its a very involved process of cutting your stock door panels and mounting this. Not trying to kill your sale, just trying to help. I would be glad to assist anyone in the installation if they are local, but for my use it would take way to much for the benefit.

If you are interested in these, I sell perhaps the thinnest top quality component speaker on the market today.
The Exile XP 65.
Incredible tweeter, great looks, and just might fit...
