I purchased a moonroof for my car about 6 months ago for about $750 shipped so I think this is a fair deal.

It too had some rust on the surface bracket and it even had 1 bracket seperated from the glass. I sanded down the rust as much as possible and then applied a rust converter to the surface, which hardened into a sandable primer. I then applied black silicone sealant to the bracket, clamped it for 24 hours and it looked almost new. I sanded the primer a bit and sprayed it with flat black and voila!

I am very pleased with the outcome and the cost of the materials was about $30. All you need is a little time and patience and it will look new again.
