On topic, I have a few leads out to see if I can get replacement gaskets, if so I'll buck up, as it will be worth it in the end. It's all dependant on if I can get gasket or not though, I'll PM you if it works out, seems anything more added here would be pointless.

I just replaced my glass roof gasket with a stock sunroof gasket. The only difference I found was the glass roof gasket was one piece, wrapping around the unit with one seem at the center rear. The standard gasket is two pieces with two seems, one on each side towards the rear. The cross section of the gasket seemed identical.

E30's do hit yards at alarming rates. Maybe not everywhere, but in NC, yards are crushing them left and right. Glass roofs are not as rare as people think, but the fact that the demand for them is SOOOOOOO much greater than supply is what drives the market. Don't know how patient any one can be to find one at the yard, but i'm sure there will be 10 others who we'll be eying it before it gets off the flat bed. 400 is a good deal.

Also, can any one put the glass moonroof part number out there, maybe BMW AG has some laying somewhere on the shelf or ever superceded a part number and still has a stock. Post a part number please. Thank you.
